oh wow new rhythm heaven game! my old post is completely outdated. time for a new one!

Here's what I think a new mechanic for Groove could be:

Every Rhythm Game would be basically like normal but with a twist at the end. During the minigame, there will be a "Groove" meter at the top of the screen. Not only will this tell the player how well they're doing, but It will have an effect towards the end of the game. If you get the meter up to Superb level by the end of the song, you will enter Groove Mode. Its basically like when you get a Cool rating in Parapa the Rapper, where the stage will change and you freestyle for a bit. Depending on how rhythmic your freestyle is, you will get Bonus Stars at the results screen. The Bonus Stars are basically like mini medals that will display under the icon for the minigame. If you don't get up to Superb by the end of the song, the song ends and Groove Mode doesn't happen.

Heres some more general stuff I think the game might have:

-Extra Games. These will be minigames from past entries that did not appear in Megamix. Each game will get four minigames. (Megamix exclusives are exempt from the "Can't be in Megamix" rule btw)

-Mouse Controls/Switch 2 Edition. This will be a cross platform game. The Switch 2 edition will offer mouse controls, which work similar to DS' controls, as well as extra content in the form of even more extra games, (These games would be ones that would be greatly enhanced by mouse controls, like Rockers, Love Lab, and Love Lizzards.) and "Museum Content" like full versions of lyrical songs, artwork, and extra reading material. (Bassiclay like the Cafe in DS and Fever where you could read little things to get lore on the games.)

Uh yeah theres my ideas for Rhythm Heaven Groove. Can't wait for 2026 to actually play this game.
